Invocation#

skarbiec totp code <item-id>

Purpose#

Compute the current TOTP code from a stored login seed without returning the seed itself.

Required inputs and options#

• Requires one login item id. Supported Base32 seeds use SHA1, six digits and a thirty-second period; computation is built into Skarbiec.

Output and state effects#

• Prints item, has_seed, the current code when available and seconds_left, how many seconds of the current time step remain, so the code is typed before it turns; the encrypted seed is never emitted and state is unchanged. Desktop's item inspector says how long a code it read stays current.

Refusals#

• Missing, placeholder and invalid seeds return has_seed false, code null and their distinct seed_state, description and repair. A host-side oath-toolkit installation is not required.
