CLI command

skarbiec pin

Keep the items reached for most — the bank, the work account, the router — at the front of the desktop's list and the menu bar's quick copies.

Invocation#

Shell
skarbiec pin add <id>
skarbiec pin remove <id>
skarbiec pin list

Purpose#

Keep the items reached for most — the bank, the work account, the router — at the front of the desktop's list and the menu bar's quick copies.

Required inputs and options#

  • add takes one live item id; remove takes one item id; list takes nothing. POST /v1/operator/items/pins reads the list; POST /v1/operator/items/pin/add and /items/pin/remove take id.

Output and state effects#

  • The pins are vault metadata in the pinned_items section, beside item_expiry, so nothing is decrypted to read or change them. add appends the item, saves and appends an item-pinned audit entry, answering ok, item and pinned true, or pinned false with nothing written when it was already pinned. remove takes it off, saves and appends item-unpinned, answering unpinned true, or unpinned false with nothing written when it was not pinned. list prints every pin in the order they were made, each with item and live (false for an item in the trash, which stays pinned so restoring it brings it back to the front). rename carries a pin to the new id and purge forgets it. A vault that replicates another receives the source's pins with the next pull.

Refusals#

  • Another arrangement exits 2 with `usage: pin add <id> | pin remove <id> | pin list`. add of an id no live item answers exits 2 with `<id> is not a live item, so it was not pinned; skarbiec list names the live ones`.
