CLI command
skarbiec open
Go to the site a login is for — to sign in with autofill, or to change its password — from the terminal, as the desktop's Open <site> does.
Invocation#
skarbiec open <login-id> [--site <domain>] [--change-password]Purpose#
Go to the site a login is for — to sign in with autofill, or to change its password — from the terminal, as the desktop's Open <site> does.
Required inputs and options#
- One login id. --site names which of its sites when it is offered on several; --change-password opens the site's well-known change-password page instead of its front page. On macOS the address goes to open, elsewhere to xdg-open, which hand it to the default browser.
Output and state effects#
- Reads the login's sites as `skarbiec sites <id>` does — nothing else of the item — opens https://<site>/ or https://<site>/.well-known/change-password and prints ok, item and opened, the address. Desktop's Sites editor offers the same as Open <site> and Change password at.
Refusals#
- Anything but one id exits 2 with the usage. A login naming no site is refused naming sites --add, one offered on several without --site with `<id> is offered on <sites>; name one with --site`, a --site it is not offered on naming its sites, an item that is not a login as sites refuses it, and an opener that fails with its status and words.
